Accelerate allocates up to 10% of its management fee from the Accelerate Carbon-Negative Bitcoin ETF (TSX: ABTC) to a global tree-planting campaign to help fight climate change. Through this decarbonization initiative, Accelerate estimates that ABTC will sequester 60x the CO2 emissions that its bitcoin transactions create.

The Accelerate Carbon-Negative Bitcoin ETF (TSX:ABTC) seeks to provide investors with exposure to the performance of bitcoin.
Accelerate intends to sequester over 100% of the estimated carbon dioxide emissions attributable to bitcoin transactions that ABTC is indirectly exposed to by funding decarbonisation initiatives including its global tree-planting program.
Accelerate Carbon-Negative Bitcoin ETF (TSX:ABTC) is for investors who seek exposure to the performance of bitcoin in an environmentally friendly way and can tolerate a high level of investment risk.
Accelerate and its strategic partner, Veritree Technology Inc. (“veritree”), created ABTC’s category-creating decarbonization initiative. Veritree serves as a blockchain-based, integrated planting management system that connects sponsors of projects directly with the impacts on the ground. The system was built to solve many of the problems facing tree planting and nature-based solutions across the globe: double counting or lack of additionality, poor monitoring for permanence, and inability to collect usable data. Up to 10% of ABTC’s 0.69% management fee will be allocated to Accelerate’s annual tree-planting campaign. The initial decarbonisation initiative will be focused on planting mangrove trees in Madagascar.
